FAQs–

BC Housing’s Licensing and Consumer Services mandates that all active licensed residential builders acquire a minimum of 20 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points annually. These points must relate to the residential construction sector and can be earned through education, research, or a combination of both.

Licensed general contractors must earn at least 20 CPD points annually to fulfill their requirements. Courses qualify for two CPD points per hour of formal education and one point per hour of informal learning. Eligible courses must have a minimum duration of one hour.

Our eLearning courses provide a structured format where participants complete a series of modules. Some courses may include a final exam. This format delivers a detailed exploration of specific topics, offering in-depth knowledge.

Yes, you can enroll at any time, as all our courses are currently delivered online.

To register for a course:

  1. 1. Log in to your student dashboard.
  2. 2. Navigate to “Courses” or use the search bar to find your desired course.
  3. 3. Select the course and click “Enroll Now” to add it to your cart.
  4. 4. Proceed to your cart and select “Checkout.”
  5. 5. Log in if prompted.
  6. 6. Fill in your address details and proceed.
  7. 7. Review your order and submit payment.
  8. 8. A receipt will be sent to your registered email address.

We accept VISA, MasterCard, and debit cards. Payments are processed in Canadian (CAD) funds and are completed immediately during registration.

Tuition fees are non-refundable, in whole or in part, if the cancellation or withdrawal request is submitted after accessing or completing the course.

Courses must be completed within six months from the date of enrollment.

Refunds will not be issued for courses accessed or expired. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Certificates of completion are available in the 'Transcript' section of your online student account. Once the certificate is ready for download, you will receive an automated email notification from Crestridge Western College.

Builders are responsible for reporting their CPD points directly to BC Housing through the Licensed Residential Builders Portal. Education providers do not have access to this portal and cannot submit points on behalf of students.
